Matt Desinics Designs presents

The Promethean Project

Independent horror, strange systems, and stories that watch back.

Matt Desinics Designs is an independent game and software studio building experimental horror, interactive systems, and strange tools for stranger stories. Its first public project, The Promethean Project, is currently in development for Steam.

# Experimental horror # Interactive narrative systems # Surveillance perspective # Strange tools for stranger stories

A perspective-shifting horror investigation where the narrator is watching, the camera is unstable, and the story changes with what you uncover.

Enter a vanished research facility, search for the truth behind your brother's disappearance, and survive the thing still hunting inside.

Prototype footage from the facility

Early prototype footage shows the game's surveillance perspective, VHS-like first-person view, physical interaction systems, flashlight investigation, and facility atmosphere.

Hide. Stay quiet, and safe in the closet. Wait for the sounds to pass.

Prototype validated. Rebuild planned.

Status Rebuild Roadmap

The first prototype proved the core idea: surveillance perspective, camera control, tactile interaction, dynamic narration, physical searching, and the Promethean threat can work together as one horror system.

The next version is being re-scoped around a stronger Unreal Engine 5.8 foundation before the next public milestone.

Release timing is currently TBD and will be updated after the rebuild path is ready to share.

Prototype, Rebuild, and the Next Version of The Promethean Project

The prototype did what it was supposed to do. It proved the camera could be stolen, that the facility could watch back, and that the narrator could become more than a voiceover. But a proof of concept is not a foundation. The next version needs to be rebuilt like the real game was always asking to become.
